2026.
The world got faster.
My work got slower.
Hello, I’m Anna
I am a British oil painter exploring energy, partnership and connection. Rooted in classical tradition, my work investigates the relationship between form and feeling; balancing the representation of physical presence with emotional and instinctive energy.
My current practice balances the fiery, courageous energy of my earlier work with a slower, more considered approach as I find myself seeking depth and wholeness in response to a world that feels determined to distract and disconnect us.
I hope that in sharing my work I’m offering space for your eyes to dance, your mind to soften, and your everyday challenges to shift out of focus, leaving more room for reflection and connection to what brings you joy.
“
Let your eyes dance and your mind soften as the chaos of the world fades away.”
A tipping point
Bold, energetic strokes slow in resistance to a world that feels as though the strings connecting to us our history, our communities and what really matters are being cut.
My work digs deeper to seek a reunification…
…to the classical
…to human presence
…to living form
…and to beauty beyond the hurried contemporary.

Two conversations connected.

The Forge, Whittlebury.
New works and a legacy collection in conversation to explore instinct and intention, speed and stillness; and what we hold onto when the world won't slow down.

I’m so excited to be sharing work physically for the first time since 2019. A collection of new and legacy oil paintings and drawings will come together at the Forge at Whittlebury.
They do the best Cappuccino in the area, cheese and marmite sourdough (my favourite) and a divine banana bread, so if the art doesn’t tempt you, that should!
